Description
A stress-free, make-ahead spiked peach sangria that combines ripe peaches, fresh berries, sparkling wine, and vodka for a refreshing summer party drink.
Ingredients
Scale
- 3 cups (450g) peaches (mix of canned peach halves drained with syrup reserved, and fresh diced peaches)
- 2 cups (300g) fresh berries (strawberries hulled and sliced, blueberries whole)
- 1 bottle (750ml) dry sparkling wine (Prosecco or Cava)
- 1 cup (240ml) soda water or lemon-lime soda
- 1 cup (240ml) plain vodka
- ¼ cup (60ml) Triple Sec or orange liqueur
- 1 bunch fresh mint (about 20 leaves)
- Lemon and lime slices for garnish
- Ice (for serving)
Instructions
- Wash berries and slice strawberries into quarters. If using fresh peaches, dice them. Drain canned peaches, reserving the syrup.
- Toss all fruit into a large glass pitcher.
- Pour in vodka, orange liqueur, and ½ cup of reserved peach syrup. Stir gently to combine.
- Open the sparkling wine and pour it slowly into the pitcher to minimize foam loss. Stir gently.
- Bruise mint leaves by clapping them in your hands, then drop them into the pitcher along with lemon and lime slices. Stir one last time.
- Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, ideally 2-4 hours, to allow flavors to meld.
- Serve over ice in glasses, ladling in fruit and liquid. Garnish with mint and fruit slices.
Notes
Do not add ice to the pitcher as it will dilute the drink; add ice directly to glasses. If using canned peaches, save the syrup for extra sweetness. The drink tastes better if made ahead and chilled for 2-4 hours. For a non-alcoholic version, skip vodka and triple sec, adding peach nectar and extra soda water instead.
