Description
A rich, creamy, and crowd-pleasing baked spinach artichoke dip made with simple ingredients. It’s faster than takeout, tastes better than restaurant versions, and is perfect for parties or weeknight snacks.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz (225g) full-fat block cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup (120g) full-fat sour cream
- 1/2 cup (120g) mayonnaise (Hellmann’s or Duke’s)
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
- Black pepper, to taste
- 10 oz (280g) frozen spinach, thawed and squeezed very dry
- 1 can (14 oz) artichoke hearts, drained, chopped, and patted dry
- 1 cup (100g) shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup (50g) freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons breadcrumbs (optional, Panko recommended)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Prepare all ingredients: thaw and squeeze dry the spinach, drain and chop artichokes, mince garlic, grate cheeses, and soften cream cheese.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise. Mix with a rubber spatula until smooth and lump-free.
- Add minced garlic, dried oregano, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper to the cream cheese mixture. Mix until evenly distributed.
- Gently fold in the squeezed spinach and chopped artichokes until combined.
- Spread the mixture evenly into a 9×9 inch baking dish.
- Sprinkle shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan evenly over the top. Add breadcrumbs if using.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the dip is bubbly around the edges and the cheese topping is golden brown.
- Remove from oven and let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
Ensure spinach is squeezed completely dry to prevent a watery dip. Use full-fat dairy for the best texture and flavor. Do not overbake to avoid oily separation. Can be made ahead and refrigerated for up to 24 hours before baking.
