Cheesy Garlic Bread Pull-Apart Rolls: 10-Min Easy Recipe

  • Author: Rebecca
  • Total Time: 33-38 minutes
  • Yield: 8 servings 1x

Description

These warm, gooey, and cheesy garlic bread pull-apart rolls are incredibly easy to make and perfect for any crowd. Using simple ingredients like soft sandwich bread, mozzarella, and parmesan, this recipe delivers maximum flavor with minimal effort.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup (113g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 68 cloves garlic, minced (about 3 tablespoons)
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 large loaf (2024 slices) soft sandwich bread
  • 2 cups (200g) shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup (50g) grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)
  • 1/2 cup cooked bacon bits (optional)
  • 1/4 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped (optional)
  • 1/2 cup cooked Italian sausage, crumbled (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a small bowl, mix softened butter, minced garlic, dried oregano, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper until a uniform paste forms.
  3. Slice the loaf of bread horizontally through the middle to create a top and bottom half.
  4. Spread half of the garlic butter on the cut side of the bottom bread half.
  5. Sprinkle half of the mozzarella cheese over the butter. Add optional ingredients like bacon or sausage if desired.
  6. Place the top half of the bread on top, cut-side down.
  7. Spread the remaining garlic butter on the very top of the loaf.
  8. Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the top.
  9. Loosely tent the entire loaf with aluminum foil to trap steam.
  10. Bake covered for 15 minutes until the bread softens and cheese begins to melt.
  11. Remove foil and bake uncovered for 5-10 minutes until the top is golden brown and cheese is bubbly.
  12. Remove from oven and let cool for 5 minutes to allow cheese to set.
  13. Slice into 8-12 pieces and sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Use slightly stale bread to prevent sogginess. Shred your own cheese for better melting. The garlic butter should taste slightly too salty before spreading as the bread will dilute it. For leftovers, reheat in the oven or toaster oven at 350°F for 5-10 minutes to crisp up edges.
